Wintery Songs
In honor of being snowed in today and to welcome in the holiday season, I have compiled a list of pre-Christmas songs that might be worth your while. These songs are not seasonal nor are they really perfect songs for the holiday season. I have compiled this list based on criteria of chilliness and funkiness. These are just cool songs that should warm you up for the cold weather and bright winter...

A revelation on Symbolism
All art has symbolism. All of life has symbolism, and therefore it should hold true that all art has symbolism. That’s the revelation that I had tonight. When walking through the different art eras in art history classes, we approached the subjects of Realism, Narrative, and Abstraction. Realism was supposed to hold almost no symbolism. It was a flash of reality. Think Lucian Freud....
Grace
Christ gives himself to the soul, with all his excellencies, righteousness, preciousness, graces, and eminences, to be its Savior, head, and husband, forever to dwell with it in this holy relation. He looks upon the souls of his saints, likes them well, counts them fair and beautiful, because he has made them so. - John Owen
Thoughts
I had a few very interesting discussions today, one where I was completely sober riding in a car with Craig and one where I was a bit tipsy talking to Kyle. Both involved priorities. I’m an old fart these days, attempting to put life into perspective continually. It gets tough at times, especially when considering options and various paths. There is an odd amalgamation of being content with...
Haven't done one of these since MySpace

Wow. What a day.
So first of all, I’ve been leading things off with “Wow” quite a bit lately. I’ve also decided that using the words “a bit” instead of “a lot” seems to make the most sense and doesn’t offend people as much. People are just so easily offended these days.
Wow.
Today was a day for me to reorganize. Not in a physical way (my room is still very...

Thanksgiving!!!! a week early
Got a Thanksgiving partay tonight. It’ll be good stuff. I’m making a Spinach salad that probably won’t even be looked at next to the Turkey and Mashed Potatoes and Stuffing and Gravy. Good gravy.
Last night I bowled. Game 1: 114. Game 2: 111. Game 3: Unfinished. Seeing as how I average about 100, I did a little better than normal.
Again, these are probably just things I could...
Epiphany
I’m making some toast for breakfast. I feel like toast is the shunned breakfast food. People that I’ve talked to say that they would rather eat regular bread than toast. I think they’re dumb. They’re the same people who get toasted subs and rave all day about them. Well, maybe not all day. Or really at all. But I can see it in their eyes.
I think I just had the great...
Wrote a song
kierstenmh:
about a half hour called “Jacob”. Hoping to finish a rough draft recording tonight just for feedback.
I’ll start my critique now. Half an hour is pretty long for a song.

Music digs
Man, lately I’ve been really inspired musically. Except I can’t write music. So, where does that inspiration go? No idea. Maybe it just internalizes and drives me slowly insane. Or maybe it crystalizes at exactly the right moment and I write a song. Or maybe it just sits on the couch and watches “Family Guy”.
Here’s a list of some songs I’ve been listening to...
Bada-Bing!
I’ve tumbled. Into tumblr. It’s a funny story really. hahahhaa. I’m laughing just thinking about it.
Anyway, I realize that nobody will ever read this first post, because I have no followers yet! And who wants to read the first post? People who watch dvd’s with the commentary on. People who buy collector’s editions of things they already own. People like me!
